Gaya de Medeiros est une danseuse, chorégraphe et productrice brésilienne. De 2010 à 2019, elle a travaillé comme danseuse et co-créatrice avec la Compagnie de danse du Palácio das Artes. Elle est l’auteure des spectacles Corre, bebé! (Cours, bébé !), BAqUE, Pai para Jantar (Papa pour le dîner), Cafezinho et Atlas da Boca (Atlas de la bouche), ce dernier ayant été présenté au festival Springforward 2022 par le réseau Aerowaves et largement diffusé à l’international. Elle a également joué dans le court métrage Um Caroço de Abacate (An Avocado Pit), réalisé par Ary Zara, récompensé dans des festivals renommés à travers le monde et présélectionné pour les Oscars 2023. En 2021, elle a fondé BRABA.Plataforma, une structure qui permet des initiatives créatives menées et réalisées par des personnes trans et/ou non binaires.

Gaya de Medeiros is a Brazilian dancer, choreographer, and producer. From 2010 to 2019, she worked as a dancer and co-creator with the Dance Company of Palácio das Artes. She is the author of the performances Corre, bebé! (Run baby!), BAqUE, Pai para Jantar (Dad for dinner), Cafezinho, and Atlas da Boca (Atlas of the Mouth)—the latter presented at the 2022 Springforward Festival by the Aerowaves network and widely toured internationally. She also starred in the short film Um Caroço de Abacate (An Avocado Pit), directed by Ary Zara, awarded at renowned festivals worldwide and shortlisted for the 2023 Academy Awards. In 2021, she founded BRABA.Plataforma, a structure that enables creative initiatives led and carried out by trans and/or non-binary people.
